While Tanner Ran, We Played!

We were so excited to support Tanner in his run at State in Boise that we booked a hotel room and decided to make a small family trip of it.

We detoured on our way down through Crater's of the Moon National Park.  Charlotte was supposed to go here on a 5th grade field trip, but was unable to go as they cancelled the field trip for various reasons, so we were excited to show her what she had missed.  It had been a long time since I had been to the park as well and I loved it.  There were so many caves to explore and so many beautiful sights to see!

The Craters of the Moon route was a gorgeous scenic route and a fun way to get to Boise.  When we got to Boise, we decided to check out Wahooz Family Fun Center, which was so awesome.  They had ropes courses, laser tag, laser mazes, go-karts, mini-golf, bowling, arcade games, rock climbing, bumper cars, and other various rides and 3D virtual rides.  The kids had an absolute ball.

 Poor Tanner thought he was having a great time with his teammates at the hotel, but if only he knew what he was missing!  As fun as Wahooz was, the best part of the trip came when we got up and watched Tanner achieve his goals the next morning.  What a great excuse to get away for some family fun!
