Thanksgiving at the Cabin

The kids decided that since we had a whole week off for Thanksgiving break that we should spend that time at the cabin.  It gets hard to get there during the school year with all of the after-school activities and work schedules, so we take advantage of cabin time when we can get it.

And when our Fillmore cousins found out we would be at the cabin, they decided we needed to do some early Thanksgiving morning fishing together

It still wasn't quite cold enough to ice over, but we were able to make it work through whatever open water we could find.  And Tanner found out that water was pretty cold when we accidentally almost went in.

The fishing was good and kept the boys busy, while the girls prepared food in the cabin for the big Thanksgiving meal.

Sometime around noon, we were finally able to talk the boys into calling it a day and we headed over to Tyler and Nicholes for Thanksgiving dinner.  Meg showed off her photography skills by setting up a family photo session as this is going to be the first time for a while that we will have every single grandkid with us!

I am crazy grateful for this family who all have hearts of gold and keep us laughing and enjoying fun times together.
