Ian's Basketball and Day Trip to Balanced Rock
Ian began his high school basketball career this year which is exciting, but also exhausting as he plays several times a week all over creation. He had about 22 scheduled games, 11 of which were over an hour away with about 8 of them being over 2 hours away. The upside of the travel is that we have gotten to visit some towns and take in some sights that we have never seen before.
One of those games was in Filer, which took us over the huge canyon in Twin Falls and also brought us close to Balanced Rock.
It is so fun to continue to watch Ian grown and progress in his basketball talents over the past several years. He is learning so much!
After the game, we headed out to find Balanced Rock Over 48 feet tall and 40 tons, the wind-carved rock balances precariously on a pedestal only 3 feet by 17 inches.
There was so much breathtaking nature to see, that we spent far longer than we thought we would exploring the area!
We were excited on the way home to see Fillmore street, which is where Ian had stayed the night before in a hotel and we also laughed we we saw that whoever had painted the road in the middle of nowhere on the way out to balanced rock had decided to get creative and make the lines wavy rather than straight.
