The Ward Auction

We are excited for the opportunity that the youth in our LDS stake ages 14-18 are going to have to attend EFY (Especially For Youth) at the Utah State campus in 2022!  In order to help the youth raise funds to help pay for the expenses of the week-long camp, our ward decided to hold an auction as a fund raiser.  All of the youth were asked to find something they could make or contribute.  Our younger kids who aren't eligible for the camp also got super excited to create an item for the auction.

Tanner had built me a peg board shelving unit for my office last year and had some left over material.  I love it so much, that he decided to build one to donate to the auction.  Charlotte has been very involved with making leather earrings, so she designed three pairs she could donate.  Ashlyn received hot cocoa bombs for Christmas last year and has become amazing at making hot cocoa bombs, so she put together a basket of them.  Whitlee loved making bath bombs and Bronson was so excited to build something.  Knowing I would probably be the primary helper on this project, I chose something easy we could make together and decided to make a giant set of Yard Yahtzee.  Ian spent hours of his time cutting and sanding giant Jenga blocks, but somehow, I didn't get a picture!! :(

The auction was a great success and the youth were able to raise enough money to provide for all of their camp costs!

Bronson is finding that he absolutely loves to build!  He is so happy when he has tools in hand.  I can't wait to watch his skill develop!
