Temples of 2021

We are so excited to have a new temple!  The Pocatello Idaho temple, which is the new temple that we are assigned to attend was dedicated on November 7th 2021.  Leading up to the dedication, our family had various opportunities to prepare the temple for the open house and dedication.

Tanner and Ashlyn had the opportunity to help clear sage brush on the temple ground before construction began.

As the temple neared completion, Ashlyn was able to go help with the landscaping by planting flowers and various vegetation.
Zac and I got to clean the temple a week prior to the dedication and through this experience, we were given an awesome tour that even the open house participants did not get to see.
And then Zac and I ushered two different days taking patrons through during the open house.
Charlotte and Ashlyn also helped with the open house by putting shoe coverings on the guests who came to walk through the temple.

We were so excited when the temple was finally dedicated.  The youth in our ward were able to go right away and do baptisms for the dead in the beautiful new font.

And Zac and I have loved going to the temple once again after a long year of missing our temples when they were closed because of COVID.

We also had the chance while on our way down to Salt Lake to deliver puppies, to stop in and check the progress on the Salt Lake temple.  The excavation and scope of the project are absolutely jaw-dropping.  Zac is so enamored by the construction going on that he could sit and take it in for hours if we would let him!

View from the Conference Center

We also visited the Meridian Temple in October which was just down the road from where Tanner was running at state.  It is a gorgeous temple!

And the Provo City Center temple in November when we were down for a BYU football game.

This one has a special place in our hearts as it was near where Zac and I lived while we went to BYU.  We had the opportunity to attend regional conferences in this building before it burned down and it was re-purposed into a temple.  It is such a beautiful and welcome addition in Provo!
