Christmas 2021

The Christmas season opened off with lots of festivities including a program from every single kid but Ian.  Even Ashlyn and Tanner performed in a holiday orchestra concert!

First up was Charlotte in her 6th grade Christmas program.

Bronson in his 4th Grade Christmas program:

And Whitlee in her 2nd Grade Program:

It took awhile but we FINALLy got snow!  Cousin Madi had a beautiful winter wedding and between the wedding and reception, we took full advantage of the new snow and took the kids sledding out at the sand dunes!

Ian also thinks it's great fun to pull the kids on sleds with the four-wheeler around the yard and even the dogs think this is great fun.

Grandma Kris had us over for a Christmas Eve Eve celebration with lots of food, game, and laughs.

The kids all performed some Christmas pieces to show off what they have been learning on their various instruments.

And we had a very special Nativity pageant.

After Grandma's party, we snuck up to the cabin for a night.

And we enjoyed the Winter Wonderland that Island Park has become!

Christmas Eve we headed from the cabin to Grandma and Grandpa Martineau's for some more cousin fun, food, and presents.

We got home in plenty of time to get out some cookies and milk for Santa, opened up some new pajamas, and headed to bed, where the kids all piled into Ashlyn's room to spend the night.

Santa brought lots of surprises the next morning.

Part of our Christmas surprises included new furniture for the basement!

The kids all had incredibly thoughtful gifts for me this year.  Bronson decided to design and build me a new spice rack organizer, which was much needed and very appreciated!

And Whitlee made the most amazing spa, booked me free appointments and even had an open/ closed sign that she had designed and built for the spa.  That was such a thoughtful gift that many of us have enjoyed!
Christmas time is pure magic.
