Cabin Trips and Bathroom Remodel

The master bathroom in the cabin was in need of a remodel and Tanner was in need of a senior project, so it was a match made in Heaven.  Over the 4th of July, we ripped apart that bathroom, thinking it would be such a quick and easy project.  It was maybe a little more intense than we anticipated.

But on the plus side, Tanner has learned so much!  He was able to use the electrical skills that he acquired during his summer job to help wire in new lights and fans.  He framed, laid new vinyl tile on the floors, worked on plumbing and tiled and grouted.

And of course, the best part of the remodeling project meant that we would be spending lots of time at the cabin, which everyone loves.

And the results were awesome!  There is now a large walk-in shower, the ceiling was raised allowing for a larger mirror and taller cabinets.  Safety lights and handles were added, and my favorite part a more spacious and private toilet room!

Tanner really put in the hours on this senior project and the skills he gained will benefit him all through his life!
