Track Season

We had the perfect weather this year for a wonderful track season.  Tanner and Ian both joined the Track and Field team this year.

Ian participated in the Junior High track program and made a mark for himself doing the long jump, triple jump, and high jump.  He also participated in some relay races.

In the triple jump, he set a new school record and now has his name and record in the Junior High hall of fame and it will stand until his records are beaten!  Sadly, at districts, he just missed medaling taking fourth place.  But he did get a medal with his relay team, who took second.

Tanner decided to try the hurdles this year.  He had never tried them before, so this was a new challenge for him.

He got pretty good at them and ended up being the second-fastest 300 m hurdler in the district, which won him a spot at the state track meet in Boise.

Snake River High School girls and boys both won the District Title at the district competition and they had a lot of fun celebrating.

All athletes in the District who placed second or first in an event qualified for the state meet.  Snake River was able to send a large delegation of athletes this year!

Tanner had fun participating at such a competitive level with his friends at such a big meet.

And we had a lot of fun coming to Boise to play and support him.
