Ian's Birthday

Ian had a birthday and all of his wildest dreams came true!

For his birthday date, Zac and I took him to a monster truck show.

Those trucks are crazy and this one actually flipped and landed on its hood!

Ian also gathered up a couple of buddies and we took them to a rock climbing gym, where they had a lot of fun.

He got lots of fun presents from his brothers and sistsers.

And he designed his own birthday cake around the theme of Little Debbie's Snack Cakes!

But the biggest dream to come true was that he got his first and very own dirt bike that he had been saving up his money to help buy.

It came only partially assembled, so he had to help put it together.

10 Things We Love About Ian:
1. He is incredibly positive.  Anytime I have ever asked him to do something, no matter what, or how hard, he always replies with a cheerful, "I can do that."
2. He is awesome at fixing things.  He is my handyman!  If something is broken, I can ask Ian and he can almost always fix it.
3. He is a peacemaker.  He is a great link between the older kids and the younger kids.  He gets along with everyone and his little siblings adore him.  He is often the one out teaching Bronson to throw a baseball, football, or shoot a basket, and he wrestles Whitlee to her heart's content.  Bronson can't fathom not sharing a room with his brother.  Ian is kind to everyone.
4. He is a good friend.  He makes friends so easily he has so many different groups of friends at school that he hangs out with.  I have heard so many kind things said about Ian by his peers.
5. He is an incredibly hard worker.  He has had a pipe-moving job for the last 3 years and he never complains.  He puts in lots of hours and then comes home and works for his dad.  He is not afraid to work and is often his dad or grandparents' right-hand man on any project.
6. He loves sports and he is good at them.  He has been working hard on an almost year-round basketball team and is getting better and better all the time.  He had fun playing school ball and had an undefeated season.  He also loves football and excels in offensive and defensive positions and has enjoyed many winning seasons.
7.  He is a little girl crazy and doesn't even deny it.
8. He loves adrenaline and loves to drive his dirt bike, four-wheeler, jet skis, and boat.  He can't wait until he can "legally" drive, and has driven us to church for years.
9. He has a KSL shopping addiction and can often be found spending his spare time shopping for EVERYTHING, boats, cars, trucks, tires, animals, and on and on.
10.  He has an awesome testimony.  He often participates in our family scripture study and has great insights and a very sweet testimony.

We love Ian!
