Zac and Lori Take a Quick Trip to Jacksonville

Every now and then if I am really good and don't complain too much about Zac traveling too much, he will take me along with him on a trip.  The week before Christmas he needed to go to Jacksonville Florida.  Ashlyn was home from college for the holidays and nothing too major was going on at home, so I said yes to the Florida Sunshine! (Probably should have looked at the weather forecast first... oops, it rained the whole time!)

The Salt Lake City Airport had the biggest most beautiful Christmas tree I have ever seen.  I wish I could have taken a better picture in perspective so you could see how really tall it was!

The Jacksonville Airport also had a Christmas display, but their display was Santa Claus water skiing behind some alligators!

When we rolled in to town we decided to have dinner at Top Golf while we golfed a few rounds.  Top Golf is a favorite date night when we can find one in the area!

And as we made our way to the hotel we found a cute little park, where they store the life guard chairs for the winter.  Clubs and businesses from around the city decorate them for Christmas.  It was pleasantly warmish and so we enjoyed a stroll through the park.

The view from our room- spoiler alert, it rained the whole time and we never got to swim in this thing.

The next day, we spent the day on the job site, meeting with the crew going through progress and taking some promo videos for some new company videos with their new logos and rebranding.

A view of Jacksonville from the top of a dome!

I always love to look for my favorite graffiti on the buildings on the job site.  I thought Whitlee would like this one.

This is the most famous tree in all of Jacksonville.  It is an oak tree that is older than the town itself.  I wanted to get out and explore it a little further, but it was after dark, and it is highly recommended not to wander in the parks after dark in Jacksonville, so we settled for a picture from the car.

This is the reason why we travel and this is how Zac puts food on the table.  It's pretty darn amazing what these guys can accomplish!
