New Year's Eve

This year with New Year's Day landing on a Sunday, we knew it would be difficult to get away to the cabin as Zac is still the bishop and the first Sunday of the year usually brings lots of ward business and advancements.  The kids really wanted to go skiing and the Bingham cousins were headed to Pomerelle and suggested a meet-up!  We didn't stop to consider how busy a ski hill might be on a holiday, but Pomerelle is awesome and the lift lines went fast.

On the way to the ski resort, we realized we had forgotten this little lady's skis and hula hoop that we use to help teach her to ski.  Skis we could rent, but the hula hoop we were out of luck on.  She decided to be brave and learn to ski without it and by the end of the trip she was going down the bunny hill like a pro and even braved getting on the ski lift for a run!

And these girls have turned into quite the ski bunnies!

And the boys were having so much fun with their cousins Garrett and Shay, that we couldn't even catch up with them for a picture!  We also had a fun surprise when we found out that Cousin Courtney and her boyfriend Mitch were also there, and Cousin Rayce Rainey had also come for the day with a friend!

After skiing we were happy to take off our ski boots and head home for some New Year's Eve snacks and games.  2023 was eagerly welcomed with some banging pots and pans and poppers.  We are excited to see what the new year brings!
