St. Patrick's Mayhem!

St. Patrick's Day has become a holiday that the kids look forward to just as much as the big ones.  We love to make leprechaun traps for Family Home Evening before St. Patrick's day and then get a kick out of how those trick leprechauns always escape.

I completely forgot to get before pictures this year, so only have pictures of the ensuing mayhem.

Even though she doesn't put a lot of time into her traps, Ashlyn is often clever with a funny sense of humor.  This year she went for the old, "Stand here and don't move" trick.  It didn't work.

Inspired by a recent pedicure, Charlotte tried to make a leprechaun spa.  I don't think leprechauns care about spa treatments as much as people!

And Whitlee made a leprechaun movie theater.  Using our tablet to put on leprechaun videos on YouTube on an endless loop, she was hoping they would sit to watch and lose track of time.

They left her a note to tell her how boring the movie was, saying they only stayed for 6 hours to watch.

The kids get a kick out of the big messes the leprechauns leave.

Whitlee always looks forward to what they are going to draw on her face every year!

And this year, those clever leprechauns tried to trap the kids by hypnotizing them!

Ashlyn used her vinyl cutter to create some custom shirts for the girls this year.

And Bronson got some special socks.

And very fortunately no one got pinched and we all got some chocolate gold.  Even though it's a mess, it is still a treasured family tradition.
