March Mayhem
March always brings so much fun and craziness to our house. One of our most loved traditions is our tricky leprechaun traps. The kids always dream up schemes for weeks plotting how to catch those tricky buggers. Here is what they came up with this year:
Charlotte's leprechaun party with a trap door under the pile of coins.
Bronson was VERY specific about the details of his trap. There HAD to be a rainbow and it had to have a lid with a string with a coin hanging so that when a leprechaun tried to pull the coin it would tug the lid down over the trap and catch him.
Ian decided to go with the minnow trap theory. Leprechaun gets in but pokey toothpicks prevent him from getting back out.
Tanner taped a coin to a string to a light fixture above a cup. Leprechaun grabs coin, the string gives out and leprechaun falls into cup.
Ashlyn went for the old Simon Says method.
Simon says... touch your nose, jump 3 times go in container, don't come out of container.
Whitlee had a little truck that operated on the same principal of Bronson's trap, but somehow I missed getting a "Pre" Picture :(
Needless to say... the leprechauns were NOT happy. They evaded the traps and got their revenge on each of us while we were sleeping.
They lured the kids in with promises of "Free Num Nums 4 kids"
And then lined the treacherous path with banana peels.
Finally, there was a box of gold candies tied to a stick in a large chest. I'm glad to say their trap didn't work and the kids are all okay! Plus we got to enjoy the free "Num Nums".
We didn't have any luck catching the sneaky little guys either. They made light work of sabotaging all our traps.
And turned a plethora of our things green, including the fish tank and our milk.
I sure would like to get my hands on one of those little guys. We are going to have to start planning now for next year!
