Charlotte the 7 Year Old

At our Princess Party with Whitlee, Ashlyn, and me, we watched Frozen Fever, where Elsa tries to make the perfect birthday for Anna and it inspired us to have some birthday fun with Charlotte.
We put up this sign on the door (from the movie) and then used a skein of yarn that made a path all over the house over tables, under chairs, and around furniture where she found all of her birthday surprises, even a sandwich just like Anna in the movie!  She thought it was great.

When the prizes were all found, she had a great time playing with and enjoying them all.

She got an Orbeez spa from Ashlyn, a float tube from Tanner, some flower bulbs and a Frozen bath kit from Ian, a coloring book from Bronson, and a wooden bird house kit from Whitlee.  Daddy gave her a Crayola tracing studio and art supplies, and mom gave her new clothes and accessories for her "American Girl Doll".

Later for a family activity, she chose to go to a local trampoline park, iJump, and we all had a ball jumping our hearts out!

This year, Charlotte opted out of a traditional cake.  Slowly, one by one my kids are realizing that cake isn't really all that good.  So she chose a cheesecake this year.  She LOVES cheesecake and would have eaten the whole thing herself if I would have let her.

And though I personally enjoy cheesecake a lot more than cake... I still felt kind of sad that we didn't get to decorate it all up cute.

 10 Things About Charlotte:
1.  She is very humorous and witty!  She always catches me off guard with her very funny and mature sense of humor.  Zac and I were asked to emcee the local Distinguished Young Women Program and I asked the kids what we could do to be good emcees and she said... Have the audience wear blindfolds so they don't have to see you.  I cracked up.
2.  She is very smart!  On her first set of school testing for the year, she basically maxed out the test for first grade.  She was pretty close to having a 100% on the first grade material that she was supposed to learn for the rest of the year.  They have been having to really try to challenge her at school this year!
3.  She is very friendly.  She is not afraid to talk to adults or kids.  She makes friends easily and is very fun to be around.
4.  She is amazing at doing voices.  She can replicate voices she hears from cartoons, movies, etc. and she is awesome at it.
5.  She is artistic.  Charlotte loves art projects and is often found coloring or working on a craft of her own devising.
6. She is kind hearted.  She loves helping me take care of the little brothers and sisters and is great at playing with them for hours.
7. She is a singer.  This girl can carry a tune!  She remembers songs well and sings them with pizazz!
8. She wants to be a substitute teacher when she grows up.  Because more than anything she really wants to be a mom and thinks that substitute teaching would be nice so that she could just work sometimes, but mostly stay home with her kids.
9.  She can ski!  She has learned how to ski this year and is becoming quite good at it.
10.  She is a great story teller.  Charlotte is always good for making up a story and they are pretty entertaining.  She won the PBS Kids Go Writers contest last year in our area for Kindergarten.  She has a knack for storytelling.
Bonus 11.  She takes care of Mom and Dad.  She is great at giving us foot spas, doing our hair, and giving us back tickles.  Her favorite thing to do in the world is spend time with her family whether it is just hanging out visiting in Mom and Dads room, chilling at the cabin, or having a family movie night.  The girl loves her family and we love her.

Hanging out with Tinker Bell!

Happy Birthday Charley Bear!
