The Magic of Soap
Charlotte and Bronson are good little bath time buddies. I love that they are still young enough to bathe at the same time together and they usually have a riotous and enjoyable time in the tub. When it comes time to wash them, I grab my fairy wand (aka the loofah) and soap it up with my magic bubbles. This began as a gimmick to get them to stand up and let me wash them. I used to sing a fairy godmother song and then used my wand to transform them into a prince and princess to get them ready for a ball. I would make Charlotte a big bubble gown and bubble slippers. Bronson would get some nice bubble boots and a bubble sword at his side.
Too soon, they outgrew wanting to get ready for a ball and Charlotte began requesting a mermaid tail and Bronson wanted to be a cowboy. And then in time that too grew old and they became doctors, policemen, octonauts, and various other professions. When that got boring, they decided to transform into other members of the family. I would have to shrink Charlotte and turn her into Whitlee and grow Bronson and turn him into his dad.
AND THEN, that became old and one day Charlotte requested to be a fruit snack. So for a couple of days they were fruit snacks, or tacos, or pizza, mushrooms, etc. Not wanting to be outdone by his creative sister one day Bronson requested to be a Thanksgiving Day, to which Charlotte responded by becoming Christmas Day. The next day Bronson was a pink beard and Charlotte was a brown beard.
Today Charlotte was a ponytail and Bronson became water. The magic for these transformations are becoming tricky. But the trickiest magic of all is using that magic soap to transform the sticky, dirty, stinky monster baby that gets into our tub back into Whitlee. This fairy godmother needs a raise!
