District Pinewood Derby

Tanner recently had the opportunity to take his winning Pinewood Derby car to compete at a district level!  What an experience.  There were a gym full of scouts who had all won at their own troop derbies.  It was unreal to see how fast some of those cars went.  Even though Tanner didn't place at the district level, he didn't do too bad and even won one of his heats.  He wasn't far from the third place finisher and was given a really neat medal.  Best of all for me was watching him showing such a good example of sportsmanship.  He seemed truly happy for the opportunity to participate in the race and for the chance to receive a medal.  We are so proud of Tanner for all of his accomplishments and for his example of sportsmanship.  Way to go Tanner!
