Whitlee made it to the spelling bee and she was so excited!
Out of her whole grade, she made it to the final 10, but sadly for out on the word "Charades" we hadn't talked about words that start with Ch but make the Sh sound, dang! We were so impressed that she made it so far through so many rounds!
She showed me her DARE artwork in the hall afterwards and I had to laugh. She drew a big drug store and had a family playing on the playground outside. In the tiniest handwriting ever in the corner she wrote something about not being in places that will tempt you, but if you didn't notice the caption, it just looks like a family enjoying a nice afternoon in the drug dealer park. Ha ha!
