Bronson Becomes a Teenager

Bronson is officially a teenager!  It was really hard to come up with the perfect birthday gift for him because he never asks for anything.  He is pretty easy to please.

Zac had the idea that he might have a lot of fun with a mini-motrcycle and he was pretty stoked when he saw it.
Ian helped him put it together and adjusted the governor so he could go fast.
And after a leisurely birthday morning, we headed to the cabin, which is where Bronson wanted to spend his birthday.

He wanted a store bought chocolate cake this year and it was delicious!

Ashlyn called from the Philippines to wish him a Happy Birthday and showed him a jersey that she had ordered him that he helped design.  He was more excited about this than any other present by far!

10 Things to Know About Bronson

1. He loves technology and loves every gadget he can get his hands on and is good at figuring out how to work them.    He has gotten good at 3D printing and laser engraving.

2. He is constantly doodling and we find pages and pages and whole journals filled with logo designs, business ideas, shoe or product designs, and business ideas.

3. He is incredibly independent and if anything comes to the house to be put together or set up he usually has it out and assembled before we even know it arrived.  He is the guy that has to run every device, I still catch him boxing me out as we walk into a store because he wants to be the first to get a cart or get to the item we need to buy.  He doesn't even realize he is doing it.

4. He was so excited to get his own debit card and checking account now that he is 13!  He loves having the freedom to order stuff online all by himself and pay his tithing online and transfers money to pay his siblings for pipe help.

5.  He has become a pipe moving expert!  He finished a season of moving pipe and got a big bonus and a raise to come back next year.

6.  He is incredibly smart.  There are very few people I have seen that can beat him at chess.  I can't beat him!  He pulls straight As effortlessly and gets bored if he's not challenged.

7.  Multiple teachers have called me to talk about Bronson.  I had 2 Jr. High teachers call me this year alone to tell me that he has something really special they see in him.   They tell me he is so intelligent but also so Christlike in his interactions with others.  They can't wait to see what he will accomplish in his life.

8.  He is very serious/ somber.  Other teachers that talk to me about him always ask me if he is happy and if he likes school,  because he is so quiet, serious, and rarely cracks a smile or a laugh.  But I tell them that he does enjoy them and their classes and school,  he just has laser like focus as he is soaking every thing in and is also a little shy.

9.  His biggest dream is to own a business where he makes innovative appliances.  The business will be called Ample and he already has the logo designed.  He bought a washing machine this year for $20 and is trying to fix it and see how it works, then wants to slap his logo on it and sell it.

10. He loves to bug his siblings relentlessly to try to provoke them into wrestling him.   He is a tease, but loves playing with his siblings, especially basketball, NBA 2K, or any outdoor sports like football, Frisbee, or pickleball.

Bonus 11: He has an incredible testimony and strives to live his life in  manner pleasing to his Heavenly parents.  He is amazing and we're glad he's ours!

Happy Birthday Bronson!
