The Igloo 2025

The past few years, we have had less than ideal snow conditions to make our annual igloo, so when we get a good wet snow and the conditions are just right, we have to dash to make the 'gloo, and I'm glad we did, because we never got another perfect day like it.

At least on our one perfect day, the snow was so accommodating that it went up quickly.

Bronson insisted that we make it big enough to sleep three, so it took almost the whole family to lift up the heavy snowballs to get it as big as it needed to be!

Whitlee had her friend Elizabeth over and she joined in the fun with us.

Bronson, Whitlee, and I hauled out our foam pads and lots of blankets, and we slept out overnight in our igloo.  I couldn't believe how warm and comfortable it was, and the other surprise was how peaceful it was as the snow muffled all of the outside noises.  I love our annual Winter tradition, and I think our kids will love and remember this tradition as they continue to grow up.
