Valentine's Day
I can't believe I didn't get more pictures of Valentine's Day!
My gift for Zac was to make him a large batch of his favorite raspberry jam, which has kinda been my go-to for a couple of years now, and he bought me some flowers and a large tray of cookies to share with the family.
Most of the kids are too old or too single to care about Valentine's anymore, but Whitlee has had a boy that is sweet on her all year and asked her to be his Valentine, which meant that she had to buy him a little gift/ treat and likewise he gave her some sour gummies and a stuffed leopard, which tells me that he pays attention as this girl is always wearing leopard print. It has been hilarious and adorable to watch these two navigate a 5th grade romance this year.
Every year I ask the kids if they want to continue with our Crazy Cupid's Cafe tradition and every year, they insist that we have to do it. It has become a family favorite tradition.
This year Ian was anxiously awaiting a mission call, so for fun, I put all of the food items in different languages and then we had a global knowledge quiz to work on while we ate our dinner.
I did at least get a picture of Valentine's hair that I did for Whitlee. I know my days are numbered for her allowing me to still do her hair!

It's always good to have an excuse to show the people in your life how much you love them!
