Bronson's Miraculous Baptism Day

Bronson was baptized and it was a little bit of a miracle that it happened!

Just two days before Bronson was scheduled to be baptized, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that all church meetings and any kind of meetings at all would be suspended until further notice due to the COVID-19 (Corona) Virus.  We had watched all week as one thing after another began to cancel in order to slow the spread of the virus.  Bronson was so sad at the prospect that he wouldn't be able to have his baptism ordinance and we talked to the Stake Presidency and Stake Primary Presidency to see if we could just use the font to have our own family private baptism.  They agreed and we got to move forward with the baptism.  However, within the next couple of weeks, the church tightened requirements so tight that even weddings and funerals were restricted to 10 or less people together in a room and temples shut down completely just weeks later.  So we know that we were very lucky that he was able to go through with his baptism.

He felt so good after he got baptized that he told Zac as they went into the dressing room, "Dad, I'm perfect!"  And he was.  He just radiated the Spirit.  He has always been close to the Holy Ghost even before he had the gift of His constant companionship.  He is such a special boy.

A couple of weeks before his baptism, we were able to get outside to take a few baptism shots.  It had been so cold and windy that it was hard to find a good day to get some pictures.  But we finally got it done and though he usually hates getting his picture taken, he absolutely loved his baptism photo shoot!

Had to get a close up of those precious freckles.

We sure love this boy and can't wait to see the amazing things he will accomplish in his lifetime.
