Lagooooooon!!

We have not had very many dull moments this summer.  It feels like we have just run from fun thing to the next.  Earlier this year we had planned a Lagoon trip with my sisters and their kids as a first ever Martineau cousin Lagoon trip.  This was pretty significant for us as Tanner, Ashlyn, and Ian's first home was in Farmington, Utah just next to Lagoon.  We lived in Farmington for 4 years and never once took our kids there.  To be fair though, the twins were only 3 when we moved and Ian was a 6-month old baby.  They would have never remembered it even if we had taken them.  And even though we never took them to the amusement park, we did often walk the trail that goes around the exterior of Lagoon that was free to walk and we could see some of their zoo animals from the trail.

But it took us until the twins are now 14 to finally get inside the park and no body was disappointed!  We had so much fun.

We were so happy to have Zac with us, which was no small sacrifice for him.  He had been gone all week on a business trip to Houston and Chicago and had hardly slept at all.  He got home at midnight the night before we left to Lagoon and I can imagine that he was exhausted, but he cheerfully came along.  He was so sweet to take Whitlee to Kiddie Land and let her ride any ride that she fancied while I took the rest of the kids and did some of the bigger and scarier rides.

Most of the pictures we got that day are from Zac and Whitlee's time together, because my cell phone camera is just terrible and I wasn't about to pack around our big expensive and heavy camera all day.

I caught up with Zac later with Charlotte and Bronson while my sisters took the older cousins on all the really scary rides.

I couldn't believe what a trooper Whitlee was even on the little bit of scarier rides she would throw her arms in the air and giggle.

The girls like to come up with their most beautiful poses.

Here are a few of the pictures I got with my camera:  All of the boy cousins crammed in together to ride Rattlesnake Rapids.

Bronson was so happy to be big enough to ride all the rides and enjoyed the bumper cars.

We didn't leave the park until closing time at 11 p.m.  The kids crashed hard on the way home and Zac and I took shifts driving getting us home at 1:30 a.m.  But it was so worth it to enjoy every last minute of the park.  We had an epic time.
