The Shower Tower

Tanner recently went to his first ever Merit Badge Pow Wow.  Zac and I wisely? suggested that for his three merit badge classes, he should chose to work on his three citizenship merit badges, all required for the rank of Eagle.  I had NO idea what we were getting into!  He came home so overwhelmed with the amount of work that each of these three merit badges required including visiting two National Historic Sites, a Federal Facility, attending a school board meeting, writing a letter to a Senator, and completing an 8 hour community service project among many other things.
Despite the amount of work, we helped Tanner map out a plan of action and one at a time we got it done.  For the 8 hour community service project he designed and built a dunk tower with his dad to be used at a carnival put on by our education foundation to raise money for local teachers.  Our whole family was involved with him from start to finish where we all sat out in the hot sun for 5 hours manning our booth.  It was a memorable experience for all of us and now forever after we will own a dunk tank... sure to make our house the place to be this summer.

I am so proud of Tanner and his hard work and dedication to make this booth a success and also a big shout out to dad... what would we do without our dad?
