Charlotte Geraldine Fillmore, Kindergarten Graduate

I love that our Kindergarten here in our area makes Kindergarten graduation a big deal.  The kids get real live caps and gowns to wear along with a tassel to keep.  They put on a program where they sing songs, receive awards, and announce what they want to be when they grow up along with what they will need to accomplish that profession... we all laughed to hear the starry eyed dreams of boys who wanted to become ninjas, bus drivers, farmers, and even a cat owner.  The girls wanted to be veterinarians, dance teachers, and teachers... but my girl?  She was the only one who said she wanted to be just a "normal" mother.  This is what she told her teacher that they read to the audience, "Charlotte wants to be a normal mom and substitute teacher so she can stay home and take care of her kids.  She needs a husband and stuff to clean up a house."  Oh, I love her!

How can the year 2028 seem so far away and yet so close at the same time?
