Ian Plays Varsity Football!

Ian had an awesome football season.  Because of his job and family camping and cabin trips, he didn't always make it to the summer conditioning and scrimmages.  They didn't know quite what he could do and they started him out at JV.  After the first, "unofficial" game of the season where the JV killed Richmond UT and the varsity got killed by Richmond UT, the coaches realized they needed to move some players around.  They brought Ian up to Varsity but told him he may need to still play some JV.  After one week of Ian doing JV and Varsity, the Varsity decided that they needed Ian full-time.  After that Ian became a starting offensive line player and played every offensive play for the rest of the season.  He busted his butt and put his heart and soul into playing and it showed!

#59, he may have been one of the smallest players on the O-Line, but he plays like a lion.

Snake River worked hard and qualified for State and got to go to the quarter finals.  The game was in Homedale, ID about 4.5 hours away, so we got to make a family road trip out of it!

Ian showing off how many scratches he put on his brand-new helmet throughout the season.  I told him he needs to quit using his head so much!  He scares me that he is going to end up with a neck injury!

After a devastating loss to Homedale, we took our time getting home, staying the night in a hotel, playing some Top Golf and shopping on the way home.

We can't wait to watch Ian next year, but we are going to be so sad realizing it is his final year of football.  But we are excited to see what he will accomplish!
