December Happenings

We didn't get a lot of snow in December, so when we finally got a good snowfall in and it was packable, we busted it to get this friendly snowman built.  Not sure why, but we didn't quite get him lined up correctly and he had a little leaning problem.

We decided to try a different approach on our gingerbread houses this year and we made cereal treat houses, which made a sturdier foundation for decorating and was fun to eat while we were building the houses.

Bronson hates "arts and crafts" and built his as fast as possible and then spent the rest of his time rendering a house on a program on the computer.  He is so much like his dad it's scary sometimes.

Zac also doesn't like to play by the rules and instead of a house built a nativity scene.

I took on a lot of projects this Christmas!  We made homemade buttermilk syrup and pancake mix for all of our neighbors.

The Elf on the Shelf showed up on December 1st and came with a new outfit this year!

And these are some cute little gifts for all of our primary kids.  (I made 72 of these)

And homemade bread and jam for all of Zac's co-workers

Zac and I hosted our annual West Jeff High School friends get together.  We decided to go with A Christmas Story theme this year, so of course we had to make the iconic leg lamp.  Zac has lots of friends and connections in the city and he was able to acquire a mannequin to steal her leg.  He looks like he is having way too much fun making that lamp.  Our friend J.C. won it with his vast knowledge of Christmas Story trivia and BB gun skills.  It was a very fun party!

Charlotte and Whitlee decided to model the mannequins outfit and boy did they look fancy!

Beautiful Winter sunrise

Whitlee got festive with her school program and ugly sweater day!
