A Little Cabin Remodel and SneeBoarding
Recently, our family had the opportunity to go to the cabin to get it ready for the Winter... meaning blowing out the pipes, adding some antifreeze, blocking doors from critters, and shutting off power.
Apparently, Zac thought it also included knocking down walls and remodeling the floor plan of the cabin:
Which ended up being a pretty awesome remodel! He took out two awkward hall closets that weren't being used and turned a hallway into a mudroom.
The kids are excited to have a place to hang their coats and put on their shoes.
The remodel also included changing the layout of this bedroom and putting in a REAL door! No more accordion fold closet door with a peep hole. Whoever sleeps in this room can now actually lock themselves in and have some privacy in which to change their clothes without someone peeping through the hole!
What an AMAZINGLY handy dad we have!
The kids got a little bored of the cabin remodel and decided to have some fun of their own. Snow limits our options for play at the cabin, but that didn't stop Ian. He found the knee board that we use on the boat and invented a new sport: SNEEBOARDING!
It may be our new favorite winter pastime!
