Summer Funness

As you might have been able to surmise by my posting of 12 posts in one day after an absence from blogging for the past month, we have been incredibly busy!  Here are some of the summer things we have been doing.

Tanner and Ashlyn were privileged to be old enough for the maturation day at school.  As Zac had to be out of town on the day of the film and couldn't be there with Tanner, he decided to have a boy's day of their own and took Tanner golfing.

Tanner much preferred golfing to the maturation film and loved having some one-on-one time with his dad.

Bronson tries so hard not to have a nap anymore, but sometimes his little three year old body just can't make it and he falls asleep at 6 p.m. for a nap and then wakes up at 7 or 8 wound up and ready to party until well after midnight.

Zac is always a good sport and more than willing to entertain him through these midnight adventures.
I found these pictures of Zac and Bronson on Zac's phone and knew I had missed a party one night when I fell asleep and Bronson apparently did not.

A month ago, we had a neighbor give us a very good deal on some six year old pine trees in his tree farm.  We just had to move them.  Therefore, much to the boys' delight, we had to rent a mini-excavator.
See that person on the ground working by the tree?  That is me.  The boys drove and played in the mini-ex, while I put in hours of grueling back breaking labor.  I'm not complaining though, we finally have TREES!

This is Ian operating the mini-ex.  He is a natural born heavy equipment operator.  Seriously, I tried operating that thing and Ian is waaaaaaaaaaay better at it than I am.

During the last week of school, Zac got to go to school with Ian to eat doughnuts and enjoy Ian's writings and artwork.  Ian had a piece of artwork that was selected to hang in the Idaho Art Museum in Idaho Falls during an Elementary School Exhibit.  We are so proud of Ian and all of his accomplishments this year.  We are proud of the other ones too and all of their hard work!

This week a tent city was erected in our back yard and all of the kids except Whitlee have been sleeping out under the stars.  The weather has been glorious and now the boys are all prepared for their Father/Sons campout this weekend.

This cutie loves sunny days and being outside:

She is growing and learning so much, we can't keep up with her.  The kids love being home from school to play with her.

I can't believe what a busy and fun summer we have already been having and we are only two weeks in!  If we keep up at this rate, I will surely die of exhaustion before it is all over.

Bring on the lazy dog days!
