Our Amazing Authors
We were very excited to learn recently that Bronson and Whitlee both took first place in the PBS Kids Go Writer's Competition. Bronson took first place in the 2nd Grade division and Whitlee took first place for the Kindergarten division. In normal times, there would have been an awards ceremony where the kids could read their stories and have a slice of cake with their names on it. However, as Covid continues to rage, we were instead invited to an awards ceremony via a Zoom Meeting where the kids got to read their stories remotely. And though there was no cake, the wonderful staff at PBS sent the kids a wonderful prize bag through the mail with books, coloring books, stickers, and a $100 scholarship!! The kids were thrilled. You can click on the links below if you would like to read their stories.

We are forever grateful to PBS for keeping our kids busily engaged in creating content for their competitions. Earlier this summer, Me, Bronson, and Ian won a PBS art competition when we drew pictures of our favorite PBS Kids characters and submitted them to an online Facebook competition. PBS treated us to shirts, games, and stuffed animals corresponding to our beautiful artwork. We LOVE PBS!
