Summer Fun

Sometimes I just need a post that encompasses all of the little moments of randomness that make up our summers.  Here are some of the fun ways we have been spending time:

Visiting Grandmas and Grandpas.  Grandma Julie retired this year and we love being able to drop in on Grandma and Grandpa any time of the day to visit and play.  We have also enjoyed visiting Grandpa Jim and Grandma Cresta to check out Grandpas train room and enjoyed some delicious ribs at Grandma Kris and Grandpa Rich's house, that Grandpa Rich cooked us in his new smoker.  We have the best grandparents in the whole wide world!
Whitlee and Josie thought it was the best week ever when we babysat our neighbors' kittens for a week!
Ashlyn received a letter from the Ministry of Magic to inform her that she had been caught using underage magic and that she would need to attend a hearing to decide whether or not she would be allowed to return to Hogwarts.  We found out later that it was a prank from cousin Alyza.
Whitlee got her first black eye when she was playing in the pool with Bronson.  He submerged a kneeboard under the water and when it popped up, it whacked Whitlee in the face.  She was a cute little bruiser for a week.
The kids have been getting so good at cooking and making dinner, as they have participated in Kid's Cooks Sundays, where each of the kids takes a turn every week to make Sunday dinner.  I love how handy they are getting in the kitchen!
Masks became mandatory at Walmart and then the City of Idaho Falls also passed a mask requirement ordinance.  During the course of the summer, if we wanted to shop, we had to wear a mask.  Ugh, I'm not gonna lie.  I hate them.

And Cousin Kesley had a Dinosaur Themed Bridal Shower.  It was the most creatively themed bridal shower I have ever attended.

Ashlyn and I carved the T-Rex watermelon.  It was so fun, I think that we may never have just boring old watermelon again.  A whole new world of possibilities has just opened up to us!
We are so excited for Kesley and can't wait to meet her forever best friend Jace.  We are excited for their wedding in a couple of weeks.
