Easter 2020

Easter was a welcome addition this year as we looked for ways to break up the monotony of all businesses and restaurants being closed due to the COVID-19 Virus (Corona).

I love the kid's creativity every year when they decorate eggs.  This year was a little tricky, because eggs became scarce in the store for a bit.  We decided that we would only hard boil a few and give those eggs to our youngest kids and the rest of the eggs, we left un-cooked so that we could still use them for baking.  We were feeling fortunate to have chickens as the store went for weeks without eggs at all!

The Easter Bunny was also good to us, bringing us a few fun toys to help us enjoy playing outside.

And that tricky bunny hid candy all over the house that we were finding weeks and even months later!

We also enjoyed pulling out our plastic Easter Story eggs and opened one each day starting 12 days before Easter, and reading the scripture and story accounts.  We also loved making our Easter morning resurrection rolls and having a sacred and special home church together as a family, watching the Life of Christ videos, and performing a beautiful Easter musical number together.  It was a very memorable and special Easter.
