Bronson and Whitlee's First Ski Trip
To celebrate Bronson's birthday and the return of snow this Winter, we decided to take a family trip to Zac's high school stomping (or rather skiing) grounds and we loaded up and went to Grand Targhee for some skiing! The bunny hill at Grand Targhee is perfect for little learners on the ski hill. The big kids are finally well on their way to becoming amazing skiiers and we turned them lose on the the ski lifts while Zac and I spent the day with the youngest three mastering the ski hill.
Bronson was so cute that after about his second or third run and plenty of crashes, he proclaimed, "I am NEVER going to make the Olympics!" But later that night he was watching the freestyle races on the Olympics and saw several of the Olympic athletes take a spill and he was much comforted.
This is Charlotte's second year skiing and by the end of the day she was ready to try out the lifts. We can't believe how far she has come after just one season of skiing.
By the end of a couple of hours Whitlee was exhausted. She was ready to go home, but she did make several brave runs with daddy down the hill. Another couple of years and maybe Zac and I can actually ski by ourselves and not on the bunny hill. After the last 10 years of teaching kids to ski, that will be a sweet moment indeed!
