Round Rock
It seems like the only constant in life is change. And for the length of our marriage it seems that we have had to fight to keep consistency with Zac's career. Every 3-5 years something big comes up with his employment and we have to scramble to adapt or change. This last year we have once again been adapting to an employment change. Right after we completed our house three years ago and moved to Blackfoot so that we could be closer to Zac's office and support his career, his company dropped the bomb on us that they would be moving to Houston, TX and they would like us to jump on board. Zac and I fasted and prayed and prayed some more and felt like it was in our best interest to stay in Idaho. At first, his company worked with us remotely from the Blackfoot office and handled conferences and etc. via Skype, but in time it got difficult to be so far apart and another opportunity began to present itself. MBA Construction, the company Zac was working for, had acquired a concrete division that was in need of some bolstering. It was decided that we would switch from the world of commercial construction to the world of industrial concrete and after more fasting and prayer and a large loan acquired so that we could buy-in to a part ownership, we now own a share of the company along with the owners of MBA. It was never an easy choice, and getting this company up and running has been one of the hardest things Zac has ever done. There is so much pressure, stress, problem solving, and travel that has gone on in the past year. My poor little lump of coal has all but turned into a diamond on me under all that heat and pressure. But it has had it's upsides too. I got to name the company. I picked Round Rock because Zac has been partnering with a dome building company to help with the concrete work... so the 'round' tied in the domes and rock for concrete work and the image it creates of a good solid company. Zac designed the logo and branded it on hard hats, safety vests, shirts, coats, hats, etc., and handed it out to a crew of close to 100. I have been blown away as I watch Zac bid and win contract after contract and manage these HUGE multi-million dollar jobs. He has grown this company beyond belief and it hasn't even quite been a year yet.
I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this man is. The things he does is beyond comprehension.

It has been a challenging year, but Zac and I have grown in our marriage because of it. We both know how each of us sacrifices and works so hard for the good of our family and just like a tree blown in the wind, our marriage roots have become so strong. Here's to another 3-5 years!
