Pumpkin Par-tay!

In case you didn't figure this out by now, we take pumpkin carving very seriously at our house.  It is definitely one of the highlights of our Halloween!
Bronson really got into the action this year.  He loved drawing on the pumpkins with markers... especially when we didn't want him too... and touching the pumpkin guts.

The rest of the kids are pros by now and all loved scooping guts and planning their pumpkins.

Ashlyn and Tanner are getting some tips and pointers from their dad.  Now that they are getting older, they are stepping up their game.

Tanner and his eagle pumpkin

An eagle catching a fish!

Ian made a pumpkin that matched his missing two front teeth

It got spookier as the evening wore on and he added gashes and knives, etc.

Ashlyn with her bat

She did this freehand without a kit.  She is getting very artistic.

Her dad helped her carve the lid in the shape of an "A".

Daddy helped Char make a flower pumpkin and then she felt like she should paint it.  Look at the paint on her nose.  Isn't she precious?

(Ashlyn may have helped).

We made Bronson a minion, but his bedtime came before w could get pictures taken of him with the finished masterpiece.  The kids all had fun having a hand in helping him make his pumpkin.

Zac's was truly impressive as it was a honest to goodness functioning digger (excavator?)

But it was no match for Dr. Pumkinstein and for the first time in probably five years, I won the Pumpkin Pick!!!  Zac is in charge of getting a babysitter and I get to pick the restaurant and you better believe I am going to make sure it happens!
