All About Ashlyn

As Mother's Day approaches, Mittens the cat has asked me to help her write a tribute to her mother, Ashlyn.  Ashlyn is the best mother a cat could ever ask for.  She always makes sure that Mittens has food, water, and fresh litter.  Ashlyn fights for cats rights to remain living in the garage.  And she can get herself ready for school very quickly in order to have enough time to give loves to her kitten in the morning.  Mittens definitely knows that Ashlyn is her mama and prefers her to any other member of the family.  Whenever Ashlyn goes outside, Mittens is by her side and will even bawl for Ashlyn until she picks her up.  It is sweet to watch.

Ashlyn has also been keeping herself busy with school where she has made many friends both boys and girls.  Having a twin brother grants her that magical ability to interact with boys and girls with the greatest of ease and she is well liked by everyone.  She also loves Achievement Days and started piano lessons with her brothers.  She has a very good talent for piano and is already memorizing songs and advancing quickly.  She can't wait for the summer so that she can start swimming lessons (her favorite thing in the world) and softball.  This will be the first year that she will play on an all girl's team in softball.

This girl has also been a fantastic helper to me, helping me with her younger brothers and sisters while I shuttle Tanner around with baseball.  She is going to make a great babysitter someday... just ask Mittens:)
