Father's Day

It's a shame that Father's Day lands on a Sunday, because Sundays are the days when this guy works harder than ever.  With his Stake Presidency calling, he gets up and to meetings by 5:30 a.m. and then often doesn't get home until after 8 p.m.  However, at least on Father's Day, he was able to drop in for a steak lunch that we prepared for him.

The kids made him a crown.

And Charlotte made his favorite treats, Oreo Balls

Ashlyn sent a nice note from the Philippines wishing him a day spending time on the couch with the headache helmet...

Does she know her dad or what?!  He certainly did enjoy some time on his favorite chair with the headache helmet.
I'm pretty convinced that we have the world's best dad.  He cares more about his kids and his wife than anything else on earth.  He is awesome at helping with math or car problems.  He can fix or build anything and takes us on the best adventures.  He leads great spiritual discussions in our house.  He is the best one to tuck the kids in at night.  And he is awesome at listening to problems and offering great counsel.  His hugs are great big bear hugs.  And he works so hard to provide for all our needs plus our crazy sports, hobbies, and interests.

We love our dad!
