Ian Takes a Trip to the ER

Ian is such a manly man.  He surprises people with his incredibly deep voice.  He is a tough dude, working hard to hit the weights so that he can be a presence on the football field and he works like a grown man doing construction and farm work.

Recently, our community was asked to participate in a cemetery clean-up project.  Ian being as manly and mature as he is and so handy with tools was handed a chainsaw to rip up some tree branches that had fallen around the cemetery.

Cutting one particularly tough limb, Ian jerked through it and the chainsaw ran across his left arm.  One of the volunteers at the cemetery was a life flight paramedic and got him wrapped up and insisted that he go to the ER for stitches!

He had some deep gashes, but miraculously he didn't hit anything that bled too much, no tendons, veins, arteries, or anything serious.  The ER crew cleaned his wounds and said they couldn't stitch because too much flesh was missing.  They wrapped him up good and sent him on his way.  He will have some awesome scars, which will add to his rugged manliness.  We are definitely a family that is protected by angels!
