Charlotte's Birthday

Charlotte turned 14!  For her birthday date this year, she wanted to go do ceramics at ISU, but unfortunately, they were on Spring break, so we had to come up with a Plan B.  Fortunately, there was a spring fair at the Holt Arena at ISU, so we went to check it out.  Her favorite part was trying on crowns and sampling the caramel apples.

Her birthday landed on a Monday, which makes it a little hard to celebrate since it was on a school night, but we still had a fun family party.  She requested sweet pork tacos and cheesecake.

The kids spoiled her with gifts including hair products and a blow dryer brush, a smart watch, Bronson got her a smart ball inflator, and Ian got her a comfy

Zac and I paid for her to got to BYU volleyball camp and had been sitting on that secret for months.  We thought it would be a big surprise.  Unfortunately, her friend had already spilled the beans to her weeks ago and it wasn't a surprise, but she was still thrilled!  She also got a suitcase to make traveling a little easier.

10 Things About Charlotte
1. She is incredibly outgoing.  If there is a sport, club, activity, or an office to run for, she wants to be there in the middle of it all.
2. She is very fashionable.  She is up and up on all of the latest clothing and makeup trends and she dresses well.  She always looks very put together.
3. She is artistic.  She got an iPad for Christmas and she has been working hard to learn the program Pro-Create and she spends a lot of her spare time creating artwork.  She made her dad an awesome calendar for Christmas and is working on opening an Etsy shop for her work.  She is looking forward to taking some art classes at high school next year.
4. She is getting so good at violin!  She has been taking private lessons for the past year and she is starting to really get vibrato down which is a difficult skill.  She sounds amazing.
5. She is kind and makes friends wherever she goes.  She can never just have a "friend over" cause she can't ever just pick one, so she likes to have parties so that she can invite everyone.
6. She LOVES cheesecake.  Cheesecake is always her go-to dessert and if we get milkshakes, she will always pick either raspberry, strawberry, or huckleberry cheesecake.
7. She is a Minecrafter.  She loves Minecraft because she can design and build houses there.  She has made some pretty incredible things and we are trying to convince her that she might just enjoy being an architect.
8. She actually wants to be an interior designer.  She loves to decorate and give rooms a makeover.
9. She is very athletic.  She has been working very hard at volleyball and basketball this year and she is getting so good at both.  I have seen her improve her skills in both sports so much over the past year, it is so fun to watch.
10. She has a beautiful testimony.  We love hearing her insights when we have family scripture study.

Happy Birthday Charly Bear!
