January Happenings

We had some exciting events in January.  After being told by the Lion's Club twice that Whitlee probably needed glasses, we got her into the Eye Doctor and sure enough, he recommended glasses.

Char and I came along to get contact prescriptions, I'm getting better about using contacts, which is exciting.  They do seem to help a lot.  And Char also got a more updated big girl pair of glasses.

We also had some snow days where we needed a good project.  We broke out the sewing machine and I taught Char, Bronson, and Whitlee how to make stuffed animals.

I loved Char's stuffed Shrek and Whit's Super Hero Bear!

The dogs rocked their sweaters when it got cold.

And Whitlee planned a fun family home evening for us where we all painted for 3 minutes and then passed our painting to another member of the family and they added something to it.  It was a lot of fun!

Ian got his wisdom teeth out.  He wasn't very loopy with his medication, but the first thing he asked when he came to out of anesthesia was if he could go skiing.  After the pain meds wore off, he was definitely glad he didn't go skiing!  Poor guy got his antibiotics and pain meds mixed up and went for almost 24 hours without any pain meds and about died he was in so much pain!  But he made it through and is happy to not have those wisdom teeth erupting through his gums anymore.

We love our weekly chats with our missionaries!  They are doing so well and we love them so much.  Can't wait to see and hug Tanner in August!
