Fishing You a Happy Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we decided to try something crazy and we crammed four families (24 people) together into a small cabin for four days!  The logistics were tricky trying to figure out how to cook Thanksgiving dinner with one oven, limited counter space, and breakers that like to trip if more than one appliance gets plugged in.  We totally cooked a ham in a crockpot in a bedroom.  We had to be Tetris masters in order to fit everyone in to eat and sleep.  And we seriously crossed our fingers that no one would get sick or die on slick roads.  But we pulled it off and it was so amazingly and incredibly fun.  Our kids are becoming best friends with their cousins.

Ian snuggled up with Frank and Walt as sleeping space was limited!

In order to avoid claustrophobia, we did a LOT of fishing to get out of the cabin.

The ice was thick enough on Henry's to pull off some ice fishing!

The kids caught some trophies!

We are pretty sure that the size of this brook trout ties the state record for brook trout.  It weighed 5.4lbs!

All in all it was one of the most memorable in a good way Thanksgivings that we have ever had!
