Dad Smells
Today I have been working on the laundry. I was putting some freshly laundered sheets on my bed and Charlotte wanted to help me. She was in charge of arranging the pillows on the bed. I handed her Zac's pillow. She buries her face in it, breathes deep, and exclaims,
"It doesn't smell like Dad anymore!"
"What? Dad has a smell?"
"Yeah."
"What does he smell like?"
"You know a dad."
"What kind of smell is a 'dad smell'?"
"Kinda good and kinda stinky all mixed together."
I thought that was so funny, because it's so true ;)
And even though I was surprised that Charlotte thinks her dad has a smell, I will freakishly admit, that when he is away on business trips I have smelled his shirts a time or two, inhaling that stinky good smell just to get my Zac fix.
