Zac's Trip to Hamburg, Istanbul, and Amsterdam
Zac has had an incredible opportunity to travel the world with his job. And though it is amazing to see the wonders of the world, I know it is also so hard to be away for weeks at a time from his family. The 12-14 hour plane rides are also killer especially for a guy that has such long legs.
But seeing gorgeous places on this earth is priceless. In September, Zac had the opportunity to meet with some engineers in Hamburg, Germany and had an extra day or two to take in some of the sights.
Hamburg has the largest model train set in the world (I think?). It is so vast and detailed that it was jaw dropping.
Zac also likes to find a local branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wherever he can find one in the world and attend a session of church if he travels over a Sunday. He got to check out this branch in Hamburg.
Zac isn't very adventurous when trying ethnic food and sampling of culture. His favorite meals usually end up being cereal or berries in milk eaten back at his hotel room.
He also spent some time in Istanbul for a conference but didn't take many pictures since he had already been there last year. But one of his favorite places was in Amsterdam where he had a layover for a day waiting for his flights to line up.
It was absolutely gorgeous and historic and he loved his time there. Someday, things will wind down here at home and I can't wait to travel more with him.
