Halloween 2024

I love all of the fun family traditions that we have associated with Halloween.

We love to have Halloween themed food this time of year:

I made "Spooky Lunch" for Charlotte and her friends and we had mummy wraps, vampire blood, witch's brew salad, and jello brain

The girls are so fun to have around.  They decided to have matching costumes this year.

Whitlee was a BYU cheerleader

Ian was Superman, Bronson was Jimmer Fredette, a shark, and a cheerleader
I tried to end our family pumpkin carving contest, but the kids refused.  They love it so much and get so competitive.

Enthralled by the 8-0 BYU football season to that point, Bronson carved a commemorative pumpkin.

Charlotte crafted this "Whose Ready for Christmas" pumpkin

Tanner created this clever Mario Brothers themed pumpkin

Whitlee dazzled us with an Eiffle Tower pumpkin

But Ian raked in the votes with this Pumpkin Hot Tub.  He created a video to go with his pumpkin this year that really just pushed the votes over the edge to his favor.  So he will get to hold that victory in his heart as he will miss the next to Halloweens when he leaves to serve a mission.

Lori absolutely crushed Zac this year with this clever pumpkin idea and video.

Inspired by his hunting experiences, Zac created a miniature pumpkin story board.  As his pumpkin hunters spied the 32-point buck!

Halloween was COLD this year and we ended up having to scramble to set up a trunk or treat inside the junior high.  We finished off our night watching The Haunted Mansion while eating our weight in candy!
