And So This is Christmas

Christmas was so fun this year with our beautiful fireplace and mantle.  I had so much fun buying new stockings and decorating the mantle and hearth.

Our ward decided to make the church into Bethlehem and we had A Night in Bethlehem church party.  We got to eat foods that they would have eaten at the time of Christ and dress up like we were from that era.  The primary did a beautiful Nativity and sang a song and a wonderful spirit was felt all night.

Whitlee had a 5th grade Christmas program

Whitlee and Ian gave me a manicure

We also had a fun new tradition this year when Tyler and Nichole invited us to their cabin in Moore for a sleepover, gift exchange, sledding, and lots of treats and partying
I love that the kids still like to do the Nativity and even the big kids still participate.  Ian was the donkey this year.

We went to look at Christmas lights and came upon this dead deer scene :)

And this house got the Griswold award!

We did the Nativity again at Grandma and Grandpa Martineau's house.  Whitlee played Mary 3 times this year!

On actual Christmas Eve we didn't have any family parties scheduled so we decided to go skiing with our own little family.

Christmas Eve night Bronson invited everyone into his room for a sibling sleepover

We told the kids they could wake us up at 7 a.m. but forgot to account for when Ashlyn would be calling before she went to bed, which was 6 a.m. Philippines time, so we surprised the kids by waking them up at 6!

Bailey loved watching our Christmas morning too!

Mom and Dad had a surprise up our sleeves this year as we had a snowmobile waiting outside!

The day after Christmas, we decided to go try it out in Island Park

It is so fun to kick the trees and cause mini avalanches!

We all got very spoiled this Christmas!

During our Christmas break, the missionaries stopped by.  We found out that Elder Hansen is from Grand Island Nebraska and Tanner served in his ward and home branch.  It is fun to now have him here serving in our ward!
