Charlotte and Bronson PBS Kids Go Writer's Contest

EVERY year my kids look forward to the PBS Kids Go Writer's competition.  It is open to students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd.  In recent years, PBS has paired with Idaho Saves to provide $100 scholarships to the top three stories in each grade.

This year Charlotte and Bronson were the only ones in our family to fall within this age range.  They excitedly brainstormed, wrote, and illustrated their carefully crafted stories for weeks.  And it paid off!!  Bronson was able to place 2nd place in the 1st grade division and Charlotte placed 1st in the 3rd grade division.

Both kids were asked to read their stories in front of an audience:

And received a swag bag of goodies along with their $100 scholarships!
