Happy 4th Birthday Whitlee May!

For almost a solid year, this little girl has wanted a baby bunny SO bad.  It all started at the Cal Ranch store when we were in to buy something and went and checked out the baby chicks and bunnies.  Ever since then she hasn't gotten it out of her head.  Every morning when she wakes up and I ask her what she dreams about, it is ALWAYS something to do with a bunny.  Like when she dreams about cute little bunnies who lost their mom and need someone to love them.  Or that one night when she dreamed that Jesus gave her a bunny.  She is also always telling me what a wonderful mother she will be someday because she will give all of her kids bunnies.  One night she was talking about being married when she grows up and having kids.  I told her that I would be her kids grandma and that I would come and babysit them so she could go on a date with her husband.  She said, "Oh good, then we can go on a date to buy bunnies for all of our kids."

So it was very exciting for all of us when this showed up on her birthday, which just so happened to land on Easter Sunday this year!!

Yes, that is a real live baby bunny!

All weekend long, all of her brothers and sisters met in the garage with dad to secretly make a house for that cute little bunny.

We all planned it together and everyone helped out with the construction.

But Ashlyn mainly helped out with babysitting the bunny.  Not quite sure who was the most excited about that bunny!

Whitlee was super thrilled with the whole set up!

And that baby bunny is super happy to have such a loving momma.

Of course there were other gifts too.  Ian and Bronson gave her a butterfly net and butterfly house.  Charlotte gave her a princess sticker book and Tanner and Ashlyn gave her bunny accessories.

And how could we not have a bunny cake?

Since her birthday was on Easter, we made an Egg cake too that Whitlee could decorate herself.

Best birthday ever!

10 Things about Whitlee:
1. She loves to sing! She has a beautiful little voice and sang with her brothers and sisters in an Easter Sacrament meeting program.  Her favorite song is Gethsemane and she sings it all the time.
2.  Her best friend is Josie our little daycare friend.  Josie is with us every day Monday through Friday from the moment Whitlee wakes up until dinner and they are inseparable.  They hardly ever fight and just disappear all day long on one adventure after another.  They think they are twins.
3.  Whitlee is in a rotating Mommy and Me preschool this year and she looks forward to it every week.  She really loves preschool.
4.  Whitlee started gymnastics this year and LOVES it.  She is doing so well and learning so many things and has almost mastered a cartwheel and is doing awesome on her back bends and good tricks on the bars and beam.
5.  Whitlee started primary this year and has the nicest Sunbeams teacher.  She calls her "Grimmett" as that is her teacher's last name.  One Sunday I said, you need to call your teacher SISTER Grimmett, to which Whitlee excitedly replied, "Are you telling me I'm Grimmett's little sister!!"
6. Whitlee loves to name things.  She names her baby dolls, her bunny, and her future children.  Sometimes the names are quite unusual names that she makes up that I can't even pretend to remember or pronounce.  Every time someone has asked her what her new bunny's name is, she has said something different every single time.  I have heard a hundred different names for that bunny.  Some of my favorites have been, Sparkle, Glitter, Rainbow, Smarshmallow, Asa, and Ruby.
7. Whitlee is obsessed with skirts and dresses.  Every day she has to be wearing either a skirt or a dress and cannot be talked into wearing just pants... they are just not pretty enough.
8. Her favorite color is either sparkle or glitter, she can't decide, though close seconds are polka dot or rainbow.
9. She is hair obsessed and is constantly brushing her hair.  She has scads of hair bows, headbands, and clips and is always rocking a new hairstyle.  She is very particular about what hairstyle mom does in her hair each day and is very agitated in the mornings until her hair is done.  She has had so many compliments over the years about her naturally curly hair that she will walk up to people twirling her curls waiting for them to compliment her.  She has even named a few of her favorite curls.  I know that one of the curls is named Freddy (a girl) and another is Theresa.
10.  She is a total daddy's girl and loves to curl up on her daddy's lap and will sit there for hours sometimes even when he is working on the computer.  Zac calls her his little Whitty Bug.  She loves to sneak into our bed and snuggle and knows that if she sneaks into daddy's side that she will be permitted to stay.  She also has her brothers and sisters wrapped around her fingers and they all still think that she is so stinking cute that they will do anything for her.  She has a hilarious sense of humor and can crack us all up with her antics.  One day she told me that she needed to tell me a secret, I asked her what it was and she said with all the love she could muster, "I love you in my HEART!"  She was beaming because she felt like she had just given the best compliment in the world.  Now she tells us all often that she loves us in her heart.. except monsters, she hates monsters, so she tells us she loves monsters in her nose.  And if she is mad at her brothers and sisters she tells them that she loves them in her nose too.

*Bonus 11-  A while back I went through the toys in her room and "banished" some of the stuffed animals to the basement.  Now she always talks about me "Spanishing" her toys, blankets, and old clothes.  When it gets time for a DI run, she says lets go Spanish some of my clothes.  Ha ha.
Happy Birthday Whitty Bug!!

Whitlee was asked to share the second Article of Faith with the Primary.  She not only shared it, but she memorized it by learning the song and nailed it.
