Whitlee's 2nd Birthday

Ack!  The baby turned 2!!  Does that mean she is not a baby anymore?

She started her morning off with presents from her siblings.
Ashlyn gave her this adorable soft bunny, which she absolutely loved.

She also got a wading pool from Tanner, some bubbles and a cool sucker from Ian, a Frozen playset from Bronson, and a bucket and sidewalk chalk from Charlotte.

Mom and dad got her a new big girl bed and bedding and sadly with tears in their eyes took down the crib FOREVER more.

Whitlee opening presents:

After we baked the birthday brownies, we headed to a park near our home for a picnic.  The big kids selected this birthday activity for Whitlee and it was a huge hit!

And then to town to buy her new big girl bed and get some dinner to eat.  Then we came home and had some birthday brownies (we were all so sick of cake after Charlotte's birthday, we just knew Whitlee would prefer brownies) and watched The Peanuts Movie, which Whitlee loved.

The brownies were a hit!

Whitlee's very cool birthday Candle:

10 Things We Love About Whitlee:
1.  She is very motherly and packs "babies" around the house all day long.  It is not uncommon for me to find things tucked into her bed very lovingly, such as a shoe, a roll of paper towels, myriads of stuffed animals, and of course all of her babies.
2.  She is very much a mommy's girl and she will clutch my leg and yell at the kids, "My Mommy!" at the top of her lungs.  She loves to be my baby still and wants me to wrap her up in her two favorite blankies and she talks like a baby.
3. She loves to sing.  Her favorites are I Am a Child of God, Popcorn Tree, Twinkle Little Star, and of course Sunbeam!
4.  Her favorite foods are hot dogs and macaroni and cheese.  She also has unique tastes for a toddler.  I have been trying to eat a lot more vegetables in my diet and she wants to eat everything I am eating.  She now begs me for Peppers, Broccoli, and even gobbles down plates of asparagus and mushrooms!  One of her favorite dinnertime tricks is to show everyone the food in her mouth that she is chewing.  She thinks it is hilarious.
5. She was one of my most stubborn kids for learning to roll over, crawl, and walk, but was the fastest one potty trained, she was potty trained about 2 months before her 2nd birthday.
6. She loves Elsa and Anna and got a cute Anna doll from Grandma Kris for her birthday.
7.  She makes the most hilarious faces and often has the kids cracking up with her happy face, sad face, etc.
8.  She talks really well and loves especially to chew out her brothers and sisters.  She loves to yell in the talk tube down the stairs for her brothers and sisters to come play with her.
9.  She LOVES being in a big girl bed and wakes up at 6:00-6:30 a.m. whether it is the weekend or not.  She loves to open my bedroom door and slam it open to announce that she is up.  She also loves to wake up her brothers and sisters and get them out of bed to play with her.  She is adored by all of her brothers and sisters and she has them wrapped around her finger.
10.  She loves to bounce and bounce (jump on the trampoline).  She begs everyone all day long to take her out to bounce and bounce and can almost always convince her daddy to take her outside to bounce and bounce with her.  She loves to be outside whenever the weather permits and especially likes to swing on the swings and play in her sandbox.

We love our little Whitlee Bug!

Bonus 11?  She thinks that if she hides under a blanket or squinches her eyes shut tight that she disappears.  It is hilarious.
