What We Did Over Summer Break: Family Reunions and a Yellowstone Trip

Grandma's cabin is so perfect in so many ways.  One of those ways just so happens to be its proximity to Yellowstone National Park.  What a wonderful opportunity we have to share the wonders of Yellowstone with our kids on an almost annual basis.  While attending a family reunion recently, we decided to take an extra day and show the kids Yellowstone.  Unfortunately, everyone else in the WORLD had the same idea.  It took us a very long time to get into the park and then we were gridlocked from about the moment we got in clear to Old Faithful, which was quite painful.  Despite the crowds, we were still able to get in there and enjoy a few of our favorite attractions.
Even though it is all "old hat" so to speak for Zac and I we keep realizing that this is brand new stuff for the little ones.  This was Bronson's first time of every witnessing Yellowstone.

The Grand Prismatic Springs matched Ashlyn's shirt almost perfectly.

We actually saw a real "wild" buffalo.  Charlotte couldn't get over the fact that she got to see a wild buffalo.  It stopped traffic for MILES.

At the reunion:
Grandma Kris holding friend cousins Hadley K. and Whitlee May two months apart.

We have a gaggle of boy cousins to play with too.  Can't wait to see how big all of these monsters will grow!

Our favorite thing to do at the cabin.  Sit and shoot the breeze :)

Other highlights of the reunion included:
Seeing how many kids could fit in a hot tub

Checking out babes in swimming suits

Water balloon mayhem

And lots of boating!

I believe there are 21 people on that boat!  And they are some of our most favorite people in the whole world.
