Minnetonka Cave

Recently, we had the opportunity to attend a family reunion on my dad's side.  They chose Bear Lake and I was super excited.  We spent many summers camping down at Bear Lake with my Martineau family and it really is a wonderful place to play and explore.  And this year they just so happened to plan the reunion during Raspberry Festival, even better!  UNFORTUNATELY, the weather decided to crap out on us and we only got one good morning in at the beach.  Because the weather wasn't great for lakeside play, we decided it would be a good time to explore nearby Minnetonka Cave, and we convinced all of my immediate family to come and explore with us.  There were 24 of us in all and we pretty much filled up the tour by ourselves, which was good because we had three little girls under the age of 2 who didn't particularly care for cave exploration and let everyone know about it.  Otherwise, it was truly amazing and definitely worth the 1 1/2 hour wait to get in!

There were over 800 stairs to climb and not one kid complained (except the aforementioned baby girls, who didn't even have to walk them).

What made the weekend even more special was that my sisters Lyndsay and Annie, and I rented a cabin together near the lake with our families.  It was a small cabin, but fun to be together enjoying one another's company!
I wish we got more pictures at the lake and the cabin, but sometimes we get so busy having fun and living in the moment, that we don't remember to document it.
