Jacobs Family Reunion 2010

This year Zac's Mom was in charge of the Jacobs' Family Reunion and we helped out quite a bit.
Zac duct taped this sign in true Grandpa Frank Fashion to welcome everyone to the reunion. It was the 50th anniversary from when Grandpa started the cabin, so we thought we would have a "builder" theme to commemorate the event!

On Saturday, each kid received a tool belt that they got to decorate.

Then we gave them each a hard hat.

And Zac put on his Extreme Home Makeover shirt and gathered all the kids in true Ty Pennington fashion.
The kids were ushered into the tennis courts where they had to compete in several games to earn their tools.

There was a nail pounding station.
Bean bag toss into dump trucks
Fish pond
Ring the construction duck
Safety cone toss
Wheel barrel obstacle course
and a paper airplane station using blue prints
The kids earned some fun prizes in addition to their tools.
But the best station of all was where we set up some large cardboard boxes and the kids turned them into houses with their tools.
Charlotte apparently didn't get the message about the theme. She loved chillin' in the trailer with her pants on her head! She is quite the camper sleeping in the bathtub of the trailer and she sleeps better there than she ever does at home. Go figure, maybe I will start sleeping her in the bathtub.
